Serres Joins the Nordic Center for Sustainable Healthcare

Serres has joined the Nordic Center for Sustainable Healthcare (NCSH), strengthening our commitment to advancing sustainable healthcare and supporting more responsible operating room solutions.
As a Finnish forerunner in surgical suction and fluid disposal solutions, Serres is committed to continuously reducing the environmental impact of surgical fluid management while maintaining the product quality and patient safety that healthcare providers rely on.
Joining the Nordic Center for Sustainable Healthcare is part of our broader sustainability strategy. We believe meaningful progress toward more sustainable healthcare is achieved through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and strong partnerships across the healthcare ecosystem. By connecting with healthcare organizations, industry partners, researchers and other stakeholders, we can exchange ideas, learn from different perspectives and identify new opportunities to accelerate sustainable solutions.
Sustainability is embedded in our strategy and operations and is an important part of how we create long-term value. By partnering and engaging in networks such as the Nordic Center for Sustainable Healthcare, we can strengthen collaboration across the healthcare ecosystem and contribute to the development of solutions that support a more sustainable future for healthcare.
Through our membership in NCSH, we look forward to actively contributing to this network and building new connections with organizations that share our ambition to advance sustainable healthcare. We see collaboration and dialogue across the value chain as essential to understanding the challenges healthcare faces and developing practical solutions that can make a meaningful difference.
This commitment is also reflected in our products. The Serres Sylva® Suction bag and Serres Nemo Fluid Disposal Device are examples of solutions where environmental considerations are an important part of product development. We continuously look for ways to reduce environmental impact across our products and operations while supporting safe and efficient clinical practice.
Reliable supply is another important aspect of sustainability. Our Surgical Suction Management portfolio is manufactured in Finland, supporting responsible production and a secure and dependable supply. Strong local manufacturing capabilities and resilient supply chains help us support continuity of care while responding to the evolving needs of healthcare providers.
Through our network of distributors, Serres serves healthcare providers in more than 50 markets and supports over 90,000 procedures worldwide.
We look forward to sharing our experience, learning from others and working together with the NCSH community to help accelerate the transition towards more sustainable healthcare.
